This should be fixed by r2671 and r2672.

I believed it's quite trivial and committed it to trunk without asking
for explicit review, but r2672 (http://bind10.isc.org/changeset/2672)
might be a bit controversial (in that it relies on implicit type
conversion) or there may be a better solution that I overlooked.

So I'm explicitly reporting it here in case someone has an idea or
objection.
