Try branches/trac251.  It should compile with
CXX=/usr/bin/CC
CXXFLAGS='-library=stlport4 -features=tmplife -features=tmplrefstatic'
--without-gtest 
--without-boost-python (this may or may not work; I simply didn't try
it)
