$ /home/reed/opt/bind10/bin/bindctl
["login success "] login as root
Bad config version
Failed to connect with b10-cmdctl module, is it running?

$ ps auxww | grep cmdctl
reed 17097  2.2  1.6  2060 14748 ttyp2 S     3:33PM   0:00.82
/usr/pkg/bin/python3.1 /home/reed/opt/bind10/libexec/bind10/b10-cmdctl

I didn't use bind10. I started the components manually in order: msgq,
b10-cmdctl, b10-cfgmrg, and b10-auth. I tested and it serves my zone
data fine.

Should the defaults for these work the same as if had been started with
bind10 (boss)?

What should I document about this?

Or is this a bug? What do you want me to do to provide more
troubleshooting details?
