Maybe single zone with 100 records? Like a university/company with many
departments?

It would be interesting to run some of the above tests in profiler as well, to
see which takes most of the time. Personally, I use oprofile which is friendly
and does not need any special compilation (debug symbols are nice to generate
annotated sources).

However, I'm not sure if it fits into your framework well. It is not exactly
performance measurement, but I thought it might use the same kind of query
generators.
