[bind10-dev] Digest of BIND 10 call, 2010-10-06

All,

Apologies for not doing the usual BIND 10 call setup with WebEx and
minutes being typed in real time into bind10.isc.org.

The following people were on the call:

The following discussions happened:

      * Shane introduced some ideas he had for organizing the BIND 10
        development. In order to work better (and use Scrum), we will
        have smaller teams, one for recursion (R-Team) and one for
        authoritative and other stuff (A-Team). Details will follow in
        an e-mail.
      * Jinmei asked about copyright assignment. Shane mentioned that
        all copyright will be assigned to BIND 10 by the Grant
        Agreements that sponsors signed. CZ.NIC is a special case,
        because Michal started before the papers were signed (so that he
        could attend our face to face meeting), but this will be sorted
        out. Michal pointed out that we need to figure out if we need
        copyright assigned in general. Shane will ask ISC about legal
        issues.
      * Jinmei asked about the git migration. This was discussed at
        ISC's all hands meeting, and a plan made that will allow BIND 9
        and BIND 10 to have similar setups in the future. There is no
        dependency between the two projects, so BIND 10 can proceed once
        the plan is documented.
      * Someone (Jinmei?) reported some questions about BIND 10's plans
        for HSM integration.
      * Evan notes he has a working forwarder now.
