Yes, there's possibility of extension incompatibilities. If the extensions are
„polite“ (just put them at the beginning or end), then only the order matters
(and that should be possible to configure ‒ it does matter if you do first ACL
whitelisting and then blacklisting or vice versa). I'm not against giving the
operator the tools he might need if bad happens, including direct access to all
the lists to reorder, modify, whatever. But I don't think it should be necessary
to do in the normal case, that should be the last resort.
If I bring again the case of firefox ‒ there are hundreds of extensions. It
surely happens sometimes that the extensions fight each other. But for most
people, it just works.
And, we might accept some more popular extensions under our protection and make
sure they are compatible or write them directly just to make sure ;-).
