a voice from the peanut gallery again: consistency and standards are nice,
but logging is often followed by postprocessing and maybe the '#' format
with unaltered address literals is easier to digest.

Then, there is RFC 5952, section 6.  (Even though it's on Standards Track,
just a reference from here, not a recommendation).
