Sorry, no, this is not a committed hard deadline, and in fact we will
definitely NOT have the DDNS functionality by the 2012-03-31 release
either.
We need about 1 sprint (2 weeks of time) to complete the DDNS work, but
this has been postponed by other, higher-priority work for now. The
current focus is on finishing the NSEC3 in-memory support and improving
authoritative query performance. This will take all of the team's time
until the end of the project year at 2012-03-31.
We should be able to add this feature after that point, so sometime in
2012-04 (April).

That's great! If you'd like to tell us more about your project, perhaps
we can try to make sure that BIND 10's DDNS support actually does what
you need. If you are not comfortable talking about this publicly,
then you can e-mail me or anyone else on the BIND 10 team off-list. Of
course, you do not need to do this, but I am very curious. :)
