Because it would be too verbose otherwise? I mean, if I imagine a busy resolver,
how many log entries would it generate if I activated the whole cache? And we
might get the debug and log levels wrong, from the point of view of the user.

I was explicitly told by a friend of mine that with bind9, that feature would
definitely make his life a lot easier. Well, I think he needed to turn some
annoying messages off instead of on, but then, if there's one direction, there
should be the other as well.

Another thing is, do we have a documentation at which logger a message is being
logged?

And even if it was just a minor convenience thing, I believe it can make a „cool
factor“ of the software.
