When I wrote the "not even Python", my intent was to help users who
only want to *link* lib(b10-)dns++ for some other applications that
use the library, such as my extended queryperf:

(and this is based on real user feedback; not just my imagination).
So the motivation is different. It's another question, though,
whether it's worth the effort to try to eliminate the dependency on
Python.
