Well, switch a system from python 2.4 (for example) to 2.7 is by far easier than
to 3.
But I still believe the benefit of supporting 2.7 together with 3 is too small
for the amount of work. There is of course benefit, but I think if we spend the
effort on something else, it'll bring us more happy users. It is not of much
value if people are able to install, run it once and decide it is unfriendly or
it doesn't work. People won't send bug reports in such case either.
