Well, the code would run inside b10-auth directly, so if your code crashes,
b10-auth would go with it (and get restarted by the boss). Also, the lookup into
the database may be slower than using the checks in memory.
But provided you wouldn't modify the packet (which shouldn't be possible from
that place anyway) and your own code would be well written, I see no way how to
provoke bugs in the rest of code you would not modify.
