I've taken a closer look at the patch and the code to complete the
ticket:

and found that this configuration parameter isn't actually used at
all (another incident to suggest it's so experimental:-).  Listing all
well-known servers still won't do harm, but I'd rather propose not
touching the code.  I guess it's quite likely that the redesigned
version of resolver will have completely different code (and probably
with a different option to set up root server addresses), so we won't
be able to benefit from the patch anyway...

I'm now going to close the ticket, but if others have different
opinion please let me know.
