For now I am also doing this on that system.

At first I tried using apt-get pinning specifically for libboost-dev to 
use Debian testing, but that wanted to upgrade around 15 packages from 
"testing" (just to upgrade libboost-dev) so the system would no longer 
be Debian "Stable".

A ticket is needed to track this issue.
