 On an ubuntu (karmic) system with python3 installed but not python3-dev,
 configure printed the following errors:

 ./configure: line 14653: /usr/bin/python3-config: No such file or
 directory
 ./configure: line 14661: /usr/bin/python3-config: No such file or
 directory
 ./configure: line 14666: /usr/bin/python3-config: No such file or
 directory

 The build was still successful, so this is only a cosmetic problem.  But
 we shouldn't assume python3-config exists just because python3 does.
