New description:

 This was seen in the trac327 branch.

 When I shutdown Boss, press enter in bindctl showed:

 {{{
 'list' object has no attribute 'keys'
 }}}

 I also get that same strange output when I leave bindctl running for a
 long time. When I restart bindctl in that case, it works again. For
 second issue: I created ticket #431
