 But if you could treat each switch block branch as a separate logical unit
 and carry on, or else just pass over doQueryTask() entirely and continue
 reviewing other things, that would make things easier when I have time to
 work on this again next week.

 Actually, I more focused on the first part of "high-level issues" when I
 said "let's resolve them first".  Right now I wouldn't request further
 refacotring on this part as a prerequisite of moving forward.  And, in
 fact, it's probably better to defer refactoring for the exact reason I
 pointed out in the first high level issue.
