Comment:

 The code looks OK so I think it can be merged.

 However, how do we track TODOs for merges? Because this will influence
 stuff in the b10-recurse configuration (and #389 is already closed). I saw
 some map specification in the stats module as well. These should be
 addressed at merge time I think. Where should they be written, so they are
 not forgotten? Or do we keep this ticket open until all the relevant
 branches are merged together?
