Comment (by fdupont):

 With _ITERATOR_DEBUG_LEVEL=0 (note I had to recompile gtest too) errors
 are different,
 for instance isspace(0x80) fails (nothing to do, 0x80 is set to a char,
 isspace() takes an int).
 In conclusion IMHO Windows is another world and the Debug version will
 never fully work!
 Give up?
