 => it can't in a simple way because it is the peer (so getpid() doesn't
 work).
 My idea is today the peer is the other end of the socket, and I'd like to
 move
 slowly to a model where the peer can be designed by its PID too.
 Of course there are many ways to implement this, i.e., you can propose
 something else.
 (anyway the whole lib/cc session will change)
