 sure the string is FQDN in other cases or is it ok that no zone is found
 when input a non FQDN string to DatabaseAccessor::getZone()?

 I believe it's okay, but maybe we should document somewhere the
 expected format of the search key (= a textual representation of a
 domain name, and, in particular, one ending with a terminating
 period).
