Comment:

 This should be small and trivial change (only removing some code and
 modification of man page). I looked into the guide and it didn't contain
 any of the removed arguments.

 I propose to merge it together with #575 (so one of them would wait for
 the other), since this one without #575 is useless (and contraproductive),
 #575 without this is confusing to the user (there are options that do
 nothing). And I think the changelog entry that with #575 would be enough
 for both, since it's the same functionality split in two parts.
