 As per the teleconference on 2011-06-21:
 * Ensure that message symbols are the form of words separated by
 underscores.  (This will also require updating the code to reference the
 new symbols names.)
 * Pre-pending the prefix to the message codes within the message file and
 removing the $PREFIX directive.
 * Rename the file from xxxdef.mes to xxx_messages.mes
