 Okay, this looks like a penalty for setting up an IPv4-only (or type
 A-only if you like to be super accurate) host even after the
 exhaustion of the addresses:-)

 Apparently the key is "-c any -t <non-existent-type>.  With that
 condition I could reproduce the symptom, too.
