 Currently, there's one method and it takes a name and a bool parameter.
 The parameter specifies if the name is filename or modulename (so the spec
 is loaded from config manager).

 This design isn't exactly clean, so it was suggested this might be better
 separated into two methods (or, alternatively, some other solution might
 be thought of).
