 Thank you for recommendation. I recreated a new branch based on the latest
 master. I applied both parts to the branch. It's named trac1175_reapplied.
 [trac930] is described in the commit message in the first part and [1175]
 is described in the second part.

 BTW, I quantified the size of diffs in the new branch. Diffs of first part
 is very much bigger than second one's. And it is most of all diffs in the
 branch.

   - First part: 46 files changed, 1966 insertions(+), 2282 deletions(-)
   - Second part: 8 files changed, 478 insertions(+), 339 deletions(-)
   - Total(fist+second): 47 files changed, 2174 insertions(+), 2351
 deletions(-)
