I suspect the failure is due to a bug (or bugs) in ASIO.
Please try the jinmei-asiofix branch. I believe it will make the
commented-out tests pass.
BTW: we might want to incorporate this ASIO fix to the release.
Without this, BSD variants really cannot use multiple instances. And,
while it may not be critical killing one instance will make the other(s)
effectively hang up on Linux.
