I've done this by modifying the logger_example.cc code (in branch stephen-
multiplelog) to write a multiple sets of messages separated by a short
delay (to give time to examine the files as the processes are running).
If two processes are started and the files allowed to roll, the first file
contains messages from both processes, thereafter each file contains
messages from only a single process.
Ticket #1622 created to implement a solution.
