 I suggest you branch from the latest snapshot of trac1513, make your
 own change on it and then get it reviewed, as we are already in the
 latter half of the sprint (and running out of time) and according to
 the initial review trac1513 should be pretty ready for merge already.

 Also, from a quick look you seem to mostly copy the corresponding
 xfrin implementation.  Such duplicate code wouldn't be good.  It's
 better to share it by both xfrin and ddns somehow.

 (And of course, I assume you already have tests as you seem to have
 the main code:-)
