Comment (by stephen):

 I was thinking that a shell script (similar to the one attached) would be
 enough.  This would have the advantage that we could write the update in
 pure SQL.

 If the script were only ever appended to, we might be able to have
 something that could upgrade any version BIND 10 - however old - to the
 latest version.
