 There is an actual interface detection implemented for Linux, there is
 stub for BSDs, we also need stubs for Solaris.

 Also, ./configure on solaris prints out:

 checking OS family... configure: WARNING: "Unsupported OS: uname returned
 SunOS"
 Unknown
