 I was sure to remove this code when merging #2136.

 Yes, there was the issue in #2137. But after that I fixed it.

 Is the issue still reproduced in the current master even after doing make
 clean && make  && make install under src/bin/stats?
 (That is, is the b10-stats file in the installed directory old?)
