 It looks like this was a bug that was fixed in 1.47. See:
 https://github.com/ryppl/boost-
 svn/commit/43c6986eefff26528f6b7b998b5b80ab2c4ccd15 or boost svn commit
 70066, skip to `offset_ptr.hpp` changes and look at the noinline updates
 for GCC.
