 These appear to cause no end of problems, so we should probably replace
 them with mock sessions, as is already specified in ticket #1668

 However, we couldn't really estimate the amount of work needed for 1668,
 so we need to investigate what exactly needs to be done first.

 This ticket is to do that work. If it turns out to be relatively easy,
 spend the 5 points from this ticket on doing it. But we don't expect so,
 so in that case this ticket is to write a proposal/design/set of tasks we
 can estimate to do it.
