 This message does not cause any log messages to be lost (by itself). But
 it's no longer able to use the lockfile, so we may have the old log
 message garbled problem. But the messages themselves are logged.

 Where are the messages it was trying to log? I guess they were filtered by
 the log severity and level.

 What could be the cause of the "Unable to lock logger lockfile" error? Bad
 permissions, missing directory, etc.
