Comment:
This work is now ready for a review. The "Direct Response" feature has
been implemented for Ethernet frames on Linux. It has been tested on the
following Linux boxes:
- Debian 7
- RHEL6
when running directly connected client (dhclient), sending:
- broadcast requests
- direct requests
as well as relayed traffic (simulated by perfdhcp).
Performance checks on the RHEL6 system did not reveal performance
degradation comparing to the previous implementation.
Please review.
