We understand building BIND 10 is not so trivial, and have been trying
to lower the bar of introduction. For example, the latest version
doesn't require boost libraries, so you can only download a tar ball
of boost and specify the path to boost header files using
--with-boost-include. (Of course, if you can use an OS-supplied
package system to install boost that may be simpler).

We also understand requiring Python 3 may be a blocking reason and are
wondering whether to switch to Python 2. We'd like to know opinions
of other users on this point: whether you'd be more willing to
actually try BIND 10 if we switched to python 2.

Finally, MacPort portfile sounds like a great idea. Thanks for your
offer!
