Tracking GB usage

Hi folks...

I've been searching around and I know folks are doing this.... hopefully
this wasn't covered recently somewhere that I missed as I just joined this
list...

We run ISC DHCP server under CentOS today supplying IP address leases to a
small cable modem network. The CMTS at the moment is a Cisco 7206VXR but
will shortly be replaced with an Arris4 system.

My question is if there is any mechanism builtin to DHCP to track GB traffic
usage based on MAC address etc in this environment? I know of some 3rd
party devices that can do this but because of the size of this deployment we
would rather keep the costs down.

We do not keep any records today of the customer equipment MAC address but
we *do* keep track of the cable modem MAC's at customer sites - is there
some way to track this via option 82?

Thanks,

Paul
