You can build log4cplus from a tarball downloaded from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/log4cplus/files/log4cplus-stable
(use the latest version, 1.0.4). If you install it in a non-standard
location, use the --with-log4cplus switch on "configure" to specify
where you've put it.
We will be following this up to see if log4cplus can be made available
as a package for Debian.
