lease file -> XML?

leases in xml makes a certain amount of sense.  particularly if you
want external applications to consume and make reports based upon
it.

there should at some point be a variety of options, the old leases db
for backwards compatibility, xml, sql, ldap, so forth.

dhcpd will definitely need to keep its 'configuration' and 'running'
state in separate areas, but having configuration data start showing
up in those same types of places wouldn't be too bad an idea either
(as people with millions of host statements can tell you).


what we need first, and why i keep postponing committing any
ldap/sql/etc patch I get, is an API layer between the running
daemon and all database models.

i hope to at least accomplish the api and meta-configuration-syntax
in 3.1.0.

i guess i might have been deleting mail too aggressively lately.
