This is a fine thing.  At first glance that patch looks pretty close to
right to me (I'd rather the -r and -x options emitted an error about
being mutually exclusive, and the choice to daemonize is questionable
(particularly if this is going to be used at shutdown).

I'll queue it for 3.1.0.
