There was an execute() patch floating around on dhcp-server a few months
ago.
I can't remember if we have 2 or 3 "execute()" competing patches queued
for review for feature releases, but we definitely have more than 1.
I don't think the ddns/snmp thing is a good idea.
I think if I had a preference, I would pressure the client implementor to
allow whatever you wanted to configure via SNMP to also be configurable by
either vendor encapsulated options (option 43) or VIVSO ("Vendor
Identified Vendor Sub Options") or SOMETHING like that.
