Should the entire environment passed to dhclient be available to dhclient-script?

Not on my account, but maybe David will do it for you.   We took out  
the environment passing stuff on the theory that it might be a  
security risk, although I will admit that at the time I was a bit  
skeptical of that.   I can't remember whether it was the debian guys  
or the OpenBSD guys who were pushing for the change, but it seemed  
sufficiently reasonable that I went for it.   :'/

I'm actually working on a complete rewrite of the client, which will  
use an entirely different mechanism for configuring the network - the  
whole idea of running dhclient from ifup/ifdown scripts is completely  
against what I intended in the first place.   The idea is to use dbus  
instead.   This would make it interface better with some of the work  
people are doing on GUI-based configurers.   I don't know if that's  
of interest to you.
