DHCP relay receives it's transmit packet

Hi,
    I am using DHCP-3.0.3 on Linux-2.4 and trying to run DHCP Relay. One
strange thing I have noticed that (using some print on receive side on LPF
socket) whatever packet is sent from relay to DHCP server, the same packet
is received on LPF socket. As far as I understand LPF captures packet from
"network card reception interrupt". Can anyone help why I have this type of
situation, I am worried about mis-configuration. Thank you in advance.
