DHCP Performance

Hi,

I was doing some basic of performance testing with the DHCP server. It
was found that server takes 1 to 2 secs to respond to a DHCP DISCOVER
message. I configured "ping-check" flag to false and the time reduced a
bit. But still the time taken to respond to DISCOVER is around 1 sec.
The hardware is pretty good as i am running it on an Itanium server. I
went through the thread

but didn't see any follow up on that with the actual performance data.

If someone has any idea on why this 1 sec delay is seen, please let me
know.
