Thanks, Marty - I'm just looking for something that will make a 
DHCPREQUEST of the DHCPD so the DHCPD will go through its paces and 
allocate an IP from the pool.  I've added some extra syslog logging into 
dhcpd.c and I'm using rsyslog to cause that info to get put into 
Postgres.  I just need to cause DHCPD to go through the motions and do a 
DHCPACK and log what it did.
