How to make DHCP relay insert attributes in a server's response

Hi,

I'm in an unusual situation where I have control over the DHCP relay (and
the network that it is in) but not the DHCP server that allocates the IPs.
I need to configure PXE booting in my subnet, and organizational structures
are preventing me from getting the DHCP server team to update the
configuration appropriately. So... I am looking for a solution.

Thus, I am wondering if anyone knows of a DHCP relay configuration that can
insert new attributes and/or update existing ones with values local to the
DHCP relay. If not, is there any opinion on how hackable the source is to
add this functionality?

Thanks,
  Kelvin Edmison
