Hi,
I try now for several days to get dhclient running under my linux-box.
I use Slackware-11.0 (kernel 2.6.19.1) and want my intel-wlan card to be
connected to a linksys-wrt54gs router.
The router works and I can connect with a static ip-adress or a dynamic-ip
with dhcpcd (the other dhcpclient under linux.) So it should have nothing to
to with my drivers or the router.
But everytime I try to start dhclient (tried version 3.0.3, 3.0.4 and 3.0.5) I
get the following:
root at thinkpadomat:/home/simon# dhclient eth1

No working leases in persistent database - sleeping.
I searched through google and some linux-forums. I found a couple of people
which have similar problems, but no one was able to solve it (or I just was
not able to find the right thread)
I need dhclient, because it is required for another programm which is
important for me. So it would be very nice If some one of you can help me!
thanks in advance
Thorsten
