Specifically, I'm asking about reserved leases, as talked about here:

I'm hoping that reserving an IP within a dynamic range for a particular MAC
is one of the features that is going to make it in. Is this the case?

Thanks
Elliot

I have good news and I have bad news.

The bad news is that further progress on ISC DHCP 3.1.0 is being
halted. We're going to cut a DHCP 3.1.0 tarball based on what we
have so far once we finish brushing it up (and running them in our
lab). Order of weeks. This means that many of the features we've
talked about off and on, which are not yet ready for release, will
not make it into 3.1.0. But don't worry, we will keep those tickets
queued for a future release.

The good news, and the reason that we're doing that, is that as of
more or less right now we are focusing all of our resources on
the development of a stateful DHCPv6 client and server, which we
will release to the public under BSD license.

This DHCPv6 development will carry through two phases, the first of
which is aiming simply at producing an extremely basic implementation
suitable for base functionality testing.

The second phase of the development, which we hope to complete
sometime in 2007, will focus on producing a more polished (but
still fairly basic) implementation that is more suitable for
production deployment ("real use").

If you can provide any resources or help in this second phase, we'd
like to hear from you. Contact me off-list.

It is our privelege to be asked to provide this service to the
community, and to be given the means to accomplish it. We're very
excited to be involved in one of the major stumbling blocks of IPv6
deployment.

Thank you for your support.
