Multiple Leases

We are still battling with various DNS/DHCP issues with our MAC labs.

One thing we discovered today was that when we have a client where the
TXT record begins with "00", dhcpd fails to update the DNS with a
timeout. If I manually delete the TXT resource, the next time the client
gets its lease renewed, the new DNS update succeeds and the TXT record
begins with "31".

I don't understand what is happening here, why am I getting two differen
TXT hash keys ?
There's a TXT record in DNS but no A record

Before:

it019778.massey.ac.nz. 1800 IN TXT
"00de8d5f7d6c03c62f0c82b19c47b8441e"

After:
it019778.massey.ac.nz. 43200 IN TXT
"31de8d5f7d6c03c62f0c82b19c47b8441e"
